Kayla (she/her/hers) is a theatre artist, educator and arts administrator residing in Boston, Massachusetts.

Named after an iconic character from her Mother’s favorite daytime Soap Opera, she was destined to be dramatic.

Kayla had a flare for storytelling from a young age that blossomed into a professional acting career spanning nearly a decade. She now aims to use her theatre vernacular and body of work to make an impact in the constantly evolving arts industry. She is a graduate of Florida State’s School of Theatre and a member of Actor’s Equity Association.

Currently, she serves as the Educational Programs Coordinator at NEMPAC, a non-profit community music school in Boston’s historic North End neighborhood. She freelances as a teaching artist for Company One, building community at the intersection of art and social change, with, and among, young people and early career artists.

After a year-long fellowship with ArtsEmerson, she is in now working in the Community Engagement Office to support programming and audience development for Boston’s leading presenter of contemporary global theatre.

In May 2o24, she will earn her MA/MFA in Theatre Education and Applied Theatre at Emerson College. Through her tenure at Emerson, she has explored the intersection of theatre and social advocacy, focusing on theatre for youth, the curricular nature of theatre in non-arts spaces and devising work to engage with community and prompt systematic change.
